An increasing number of companies are designing with the aid of 3D CAD software. Smelt uses Siemens Industry Software NX6 for the external programming of CNC machines for complex and/or workable products.

The greatest advantage is that the customers’  3D model is used as the point of departure, 1-to-1. In addition, programming is separated from the machining, which effects in mor efficient use of machining hours.
Less complex products or products of which no 3D model is available are usually programmed into the machine manually.
